Terms of Service
Last updated: October 26, 2026
1. Agreement
By using TwitterGIF (the “service”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
2. The service
TwitterGIF is a browser-based tool that converts publicly available videos on X (formerly Twitter) into GIF files on your own device. We may improve, change or discontinue features at any time. The service relies on X’s public endpoints; if X changes them, some videos may temporarily fail to convert.
3. Acceptable use
You agree that you will:
- only convert content you have the right to use, or where your use is allowed by law (for example fair use);
- not use the service to infringe copyrights, harass anyone or break X’s rules;
- not overload, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer our lookup service, or use scripts to get around usage limits;
- not share license keys publicly or resell access to the service.
4. Your GIFs
GIFs are created on your device and we claim no ownership of them. You are solely responsible for how you use and share them, including respecting the rights of the original creators.
5. Free plan
The free plan includes a limited number of conversions per day, a maximum clip length and a small watermark, as described on the pricing section. We may adjust free-plan limits to keep the service sustainable.
6. Paid plans
- GIF Pack — a one-time purchase of 100 conversions that don’t expire for as long as the service operates.
- Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly — subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Plans are tied to a personal license key sent to your email. Keys that are shared publicly or abused may be revoked.
- Prices are in US dollars. Taxes may apply depending on where you live.
- Refunds: if a paid plan doesn’t work as described, email us within 14 days of purchase and we’ll fix it or refund you.
Payments are processed by Stripe; its terms also apply to the payment itself.
7. Intellectual property
The site, its design, text and code belong to us, except open-source components (such as ffmpeg.wasm), which are used under their own licenses. TwitterGIF is not affiliated with X Corp.; “Twitter” and “X” are trademarks of X Corp. and are used only to describe compatibility.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t guarantee that every video can be converted or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms. You can stop using the service at any time.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of TwitterGIF is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
