DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
We respect the rights of creators. TwitterGIF does not host, store or distribute video content: GIFs are created on each visitor’s own device from posts that are already public on X, and our servers never receive the video or the resulting GIF. What we can do is block specific posts from being looked up through our service.
Sending a notice
Email dmca@twittergif.com with the following (as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed.
- The link(s) to the X post(s) you want blocked from our service.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
When we receive a complete notice we block the listed posts from our lookup service promptly and let you know. Because the original video is hosted by X, you may also want to report it to X directly through its copyright form.
Counter-notices
If you believe a post was blocked by mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, the post link, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was blocked in error, and your name, address and phone number, together with your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.
Repeat infringers
We may revoke the license keys of users who repeatedly use the service to infringe copyrights.
Please be accurate
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages.
